The Challenge
BRE Fabrications had built a solid reputation in London’s steel fabrication industry over many years, working with a loyal base of long-standing clients. When the founders retired and sold the business to a group of young entrepreneurs, the new owners inherited a strong foundation, but also a brand stuck in the past. The logo, website, and general presentation were dated, and did not reflect the ambition of the new leadership. The challenge was a delicate one: retain the trust of existing clients who valued BRE for exactly what it was, while building a brand modern and dynamic enough to win new business, and lay the groundwork for future ambitions, including a move into fabrication for off-road racing.

What we did
We started by getting under the skin of the business: what BRE had always done well, what the new owners wanted it to become, and where the crossover between old and new clients would need to sit. The result was a brand built on strength, in every sense of the word. The new logo combines a bold, industrial mark with a wing motif, a subtle nod to speed and motorsport that plants the seed for BRE’s future in off-road racing, without alienating the construction and property clients who make up the bulk of their work today.
We paired the visual identity with a tone of voice and messaging system built around words like durable, Enduring, and Reliable. These words did double duty, describing the qualities of steel while also describing the qualities of the company itself: built to last, built to perform, built to handle pressure. Bold, oversized typography became a signature device across the brand, used to turn single words into statements on everything from business cards to large format print.
