Mason & Forge

A brand built on craftsmanship, clarity and trust.

In an industry where building projects are too often defined by delays, miscommunication and unmet expectations, Mason & Forge needed a brand that proved, from the very first impression, that they were different.

The challenge:

Mason & Forge came to us with a rare position in their market: genuine expertise in working alongside architects, property developers and interior designers, backed by clear processes and communication that construction clients don't often experience. What they lacked was a brand that reflected it. They needed an identity as considered and dependable as the work itself — one that would earn trust before a single brick was laid.

What we did:

We started with the name. Mason & Forge speaks to two crafts: the mason who builds with precision, and the forge where raw materials are shaped into something strong and lasting. Together, they capture a business built on skilled hands and solid foundations, as much a promise as a name.

From the name, we built a mark around the ampersand itself; a fluid, confident 'm&f' set in an elegant serif, softened against clean, no-nonsense sans-serif type. The pairing does the same job as the name; one side precise and structural, the other with a touch of craft and character. A deep navy grounds the palette, offset with a sharp, energetic red that carries through every touchpoint as a signal of quality and attention to detail.

We then took that identity everywhere Mason & Forge shows up: vehicle livery, uniforms, stationery and a new website, all designed from scratch. On site, that means a team who look as sharp and professional as the work they deliver — the same mark on a t-shirt as on a set of drawings, building trust with every interaction, whether that's a homeowner meeting the team for the first time or an architect reviewing a proposal.

What we delivered:

  • Brand strategy and positioning

  • Logo and full brand identity

  • Vehicle livery

  • Uniform design

  • Stationary

  • Website design and build

  • Brand Guidelines

The result:

A brand their team were proud to wear on site, and one that opened doors to a better calibre of client. Dominant Construction could finally walk into any pitch or tender process looking every bit as capable as they were.
